What is a Mental Health Aware Course?
A half day introduction course to raise awareness of mental ill health, teaching delegates what mental health is, introducing the most common mental health conditions and how we can spot signs and symptoms that someone close to us may be becoming unwell.
The course follows MHFAs take 10 together framework to increase delegates confidence to have a supportive conversation and sign post an individual to further professional support if needed. The course helps to raise awareness and tackle stigma associated with ill mental health, delegates will gain a greater understanding about the importance of their own self-care to promote positive well being.
